Well Matthew was superb in getting everything together the designer/builder not so much. We had to get another builder and Matthew had to get the new builder qualified and everything we did before was rolled over from the first go at the loan. He stepped the builder and us through all the many steps to get the loan. He was there for us night, day and weekends for information, answering questions and helping with all the steps a construction has. My best and most recent experience involved buying a new home while transitioning into retirement. The fact that I was soon going to be a non-salaried individual made getting a loan with attractive terms challenging. Some lenders suggested that I just pay cash or make early withdrawals from retirement funds because it was too risky. Neither was an option for us. Because of our move to a new state with new jobs waiting for us, the other bank we trusted let us down at the absolute last second. Their excuse was "no history of income in the state of Arizona", even though we have the financial means of purchasing a home with near perfect credit.
